Crown Worldwide Group Opens New Facility in Shah Alam, Malaysia

SHAH ALAM, Malaysia -- The Crown Worldwide Group announced the recent opening of its Phase II Facility in Subang Hi-Tech Park, Shah Alam just outside of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

The Phase II facility is a new 20,000 square foot household goods storage facility. With this new building complete, the Phase I Records Management Center has expanded to 70,000 square feet. The Phase I facility also boasts a 30,000 square foot office complex. The Crown Worldwide Group has now invested RM4.5million (US$1.2m) into Malaysia over the last 12mths culminating with this grand opening.

 

"This investment supports our commitment to both our Crown Records Management and Crown Relocations divisions in Malaysia, which provide employment for up to 120 people in Malaysia,” said Jim Thompson, Chairman and Founder of Crown Worldwide Group. “This new investment is a demonstration of Crown's continued commitment to the Malaysian marketplace and our belief in the staff that work and run our business there.”

New Lycée Francais in Kuala Lumpur

The new Lycée Francais of Kuala Lumpur is ready: officially opened on Monday 13 June 2005 in presence of Madame Komala Devi, parliamentary secretary of the Ministry of Education of Malaysia and His Excellency, Monsieur Jacques Lapouge, French Ambassador to Malaysia, also percent at the ceremony was Segamput MP Datuk Dr Tan  Kee Kwong.

 

 LFKL is located in Segambut, on the North West part of the city and within the fast developing and expatriates-favoured area of Mont Kiara / Seri Hartamas and a stone throw from Bukit Damansara. Built over one year at a cost of 20 million Ringgit (about 4 million Euros) and co-financed by the French Government and the French Business community in Malaysia, LFKL will start operations for the next school term on September 1st 2005 with an initial capacity of 450 students, from kindergarten to baccalaureate.

 

This is the best testimony of the development of the French business presence in Malaysia which, over the past 15 years, has seen the number of French companies increase from 50 to 200

In conjunction with the FRANCE Workshop that took place on Monday 13 september 2004 in Kuala Lumpur, the AIR FRANCE representative for Malaysia, Mr Patrick LOW, has been awarded by the French Minister of Tourism, the "MEDAILLE D'OR DU TOURISME" for his long time serving the promotion of France in Malaysia. MFCCI warmly congratulates Patrick for his achievements!
