On Wednesday 14 April 2010, a career talk was jointly organized by the Malaysian-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MFCCI) and the Malaysia-France University Centre (MFUC). The aim was to gather graduates from France and representatives from French companies in Malaysia and discuss professional opportunities. The talk was successful as more than 60 students and graduates from France were present and about 20 French companies were represented. Altogether the event attracted more than 120 participants.
After an opening speech by Dr Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MFCCI Career & Training Committee, five French companies (Aramis, Technip, Lafarge, Carrefour and Traders Hotel) presented their professional fields and the career opportunities offered by their group. Several alumni also talked about their own personal and professional experiences.
After the speaker’s presentation and the Q&A session, the participants continued their discussions around a buffet at the companies’ booths. This type of career meeting could become an annual event as the number of graduates from France is increasing.
