The main objective of this committee is to share information and open discussions among the Manufacturing members and take the opportunity to visit the member’s production facilities. It gatherers some 5 to 10 steady participating members and non-members and organizes semestrial meeting covering relevant topics such as : Human Resources (Salaries, Bonuses, Benefits & overall practices & issues) and Indirect purchasing (Practices, Leads to share suppliers, in & out sourcing, ethics issues).

Breakfast Talk: Salary & Fringe Benefit Survey 2009
The MFCCI Manufacturing Committee organized a breakfast talk in conjunction with the launching of the Salary & Fringe Benefits Survey 2009 for Executive and Non-Executive staff, on Tuesday, 9th February 2010. Ms. Lee Yoke Wan, Senior Manager Research & Information made, as last year, a presentation on management salary and fringe benefits by Malaysian companies. Ms. Lee and her team answered questions that were asked by the participants.
The Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) is the central organisation representing private sector employers in Malaysia and is recognised at national, regional and international levels. The objective of the MEF has always been to promote and safeguard the right and interest of employers and at the same time to seek for adoption of sound principle and practices of human resources and industrial relations through information, advice, training and other activities.

There are some 30 French companies or groups of companies involved in Manufacturing in Malaysia. The manufacturing committee members are mostly centered on the west coast of the peninsula in the main industrial areas.
In the South, in the states of Negeri Sembilan (Danone), Malacca (Activ, Diehl and Joubert) and Johore (ST microelectronics, Terreal, Cray Valley, Serimax and hopefully, very soon, Onilux and Bantex).
In the North, in the states of Perak (Mapa, Lafarge, Mafipro, A.Clouet), Penang (Mapa, Onduline) and Kedah (Marigold, Lafarge).
Finally, the state of selangor welcomes, among others, Schneider, Paling, Tandem Holding, Serac, Sapura-Thales, Euriatec, Inventec, Monin and the two latest additions, Oleon and Petzl. Their activities are various, with a strong presence in glove and other rubber products, construction materials (Wood, roofing, cement, etc...), agro - food, Electronics and others.
The Manufacturing committee focuses on practical issues of common interest and networking actions among comittee members.
