Dear Members and Friends,
Thanks to the dynamism of MFCCI members and your contribution, we are actively involved in the economic development of France internationally. This involvement is crucial in the upcoming years as we have been going through an economical crisis since 2008. It will be decisive for Malaysian companies as much as for French and European companies. While we are attentive toward this ineluctable evolution, we consider that we have no reason to be pessimistic and we shall keep moving forward.
Malaysia, compared to many ASEAN countries, is already up and ready for most of tomorrow's challenges. Politically stable, the country is about to welcome a new Prime Minister in early 2009. Furthermore, Malaysian economy is active not only within Malaysia, but in other Asian countries, Middle East, and Africa. Indeed, it remains a promising and ambitious economy. It allows us, French businessmen, to find the right partners, to make strategic decisions and overall to gain and open new perspectives. Finally, Malaysia's current positioning forces us to consider this country as a regional headquarters.
In an ever-evolving global economic environment, France must export, open to new markets, develop... in brief, It must energize. All of us, French actors of the business world, or shall we say French risk-taking players and self-involvement followers, we are ready for this challenge and are willing to act as a major player in this ambitious project. In this framework, MFCCI fully play its role toward all the companies that wish to set up abroad or companies which are already in Malaysia.
Therefore, in order to succeed, we straight away commit ourselves in a total openness policy:
- by strengthening and energizing the relations we have created a long time ago with French partners such as UCCIFE and ACFCI.
- by developing and increasing our relations with the Malaysian business community such as MIDA or its entrepreneurs.
- by supporting the reform in progress involving UBIFRANCE and Mission Economique, which will work in collaboration with MFCCI.
- by offering the necessary support to our members so that they can enjoy an operational economical zone, and an harmonious environment that favours self-development and overall happiness.
The upcoming years will obviously be a challenge for all of us. The "France Export" ship is sailing to open sea... We must tighten our relations and our cohesion to face these open seas. The present directory, even though humble, actively contributes to this. Any comments to improve this tool will be most welcomed.
Thank you to all our members for their support. The Chamber remains at your entire disposal...
Peer De Jong , President of MFCCI
