CARREFOUR OPENED ITS DOORS IN KEPONG

Since Carrefour’s establishment in 1994, with the opening of the first store in Subang Jaya, Carrefour has always been optimistic about Malaysia. Through out the years, Carrefour have survived economic uncertaintie, global crisis and now the surge in oil prices.

Carrefour is still able to continue to grow within the past 12 years hence opened 10 stores; one store in Johor and Batu Pahat and Penang, whilst 7 store in Klang Valley; Subang Jaya, Mid Valley, Wangsa Maju, Cheras Jalan Peel, Sri Petaling, Putrajaya and NOW in Kepong!

 

The two storey building was opened on the 5th December 2006 by YB Datul Haji Mohd Shafie, Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affair in the presence of H.E Alain Du Boispean, French Ambbasador to Malaysia.

Carrefour Kepong covers 6.25 acres of land with a gross build up area of 19,884 square metres. It  offers over 40 shops and eateries, recreation, customer friendly facilities including free parking space, with this  shoppers can look forward to an exciting shopping experience.

 

Carrefour is the benchmark of modern retailing in Malaysia and to mark another major mile stone through our 12 year presence here in Malaysia. Hence has opened its latest store in line with it’s vision to be “The” hypermarket for Malaysia, with customer and growth at heart.

 

“To ensure customer satisfaction it has continuously worked in improving over 50,000 of product assortments and emphasize on its lowest price policy, which is coincidently in sync with the recently launch Smart Consumer and Smart Spending Campaign by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs”.

ACCOR RETURNS TO KUALA LUMPUR WITH A ‘MAJESTIC’ LOCATION

French hotel group Accor SA plans to expand is planning to expend its current portfolio of two hotels in Malaysia to at least 20 hotels over the next 10 years. Recently it added one of Asia’s key business and tourism hubs to its fast expanding network with the opening of the new Novtel Hydro Majestic Kuala Lumpur.

 

Strategically located within the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle, the hotel is only a short stroll away from the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and Petronas Twin Tower.

The immediate neighbourhood surrounding the 28-storey Novotel Hydro Majestic Kuala Lumpur offers one of the most dynamic and popular entertainment areas found in Asia – The Bintang Walk. It considered Malaysia’s answer to Japan’s famous Ginza district with its outdoor cafés and trendy shops offering endless options for both dining and shopping.

 

Accor Asia Pacific Managing Director Michael Issenberg said the opening of Novotel Hydro Majestic Kuala Lumpur was a key addition to the Novotel brand network in the region.

Thales signs a Deal with Air Asia X during LIMA

Langkawi, Malaysia – Thales International is one of the world’s leaders in defense and aerospace electronics. The company has been in Malaysia for over 20 years.

With Aerospace and Air systems being two of the company’s core business areas, it is no surprise that the LIMA show, held in Langkawi in December, has been a great opportunity to confirm a promising contract with low-cost Company, Air Asia X.

Thales will supply criticial avionic components, satellite communication system and in-flight entertainment system to AirAsia X Sdn Bhd’s new fleet.

The in-flight entertainment systems will work on a pay-per-view basis, since Air Asia X policy is to believe in empowering their guests with the ability to choose and enjoy what they want.

Under the agreement, Thales will also support AirAsia X in after sales, repair and maintenance for 15 years.

Citroen aims to rebuild strong network in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Citroën plans to introduce several new models in the region next year, and is confident of regional sales growth. 2008 will be the year of the introduction of the new Grand C4 Picasso and the brand’s flagship, the C6 among other new vehicles.

The Grand C4 Picasso has been showcased in November during the 2007 French Fair in Mid Valley Exhibition Center, Kuala Lumpur.

Brookland Motors Sdn. Bhd. has been appointed sole authorized importer and distributors of Citroën in Malaysia, after one year of being its authorized repair company.
