2nd September 2019: HR minister says will consider calls for higher retirement age, cost of living allowance

According to J. Solomon, MTUC secretary-general, this proposal will allow low-wage earners and older workers to save more Employees Provident Fund (EPF). Today, M. Kulasegaran, the Human Resources Minister, announced that the government plans to examine the Malaysian Trade Unions Congress’ (MTUC) proposal to raise the mandatory retirement age from 60 to 65.
