Morning Talk: Implementation of Sales & Service Tax (SST)
On 24 August 2018, the Bills on the abolishment of Goods and Services Tax (“GST”) and the implementation of SST received the royal assent and became Acts of the Parliament and this means changes affecting all companies in Malaysia.
Our speaker, Ms. Corinne Schons, Managing Partner from CS&Co provided us with some practical guidance on the matter. She also highlighted on a few issues, such as

- Registration
- Exemptions
- Charging SST
- Declaring and paying SST
- Transitional matters
In addition, the session also highlighted tools made available by the Customs in order to guide companies through the transitional process (website, legal documentation and so on).
