Northern Region Talk & Business Networking Cocktail – Economic & Political Outlook, 25 September 2026, Alliance Française de Penang

CCI France Malaysia brought together the Malaysian-French business community in Penang for an evening of insights, conversations and new connections.

On 25 September, CCI France Malaysia hosted our Northern Region talk on Malaysia’s Political and Economic Outlook, followed by a networking cocktail at Alliance Française de Penang.

The evening featured our guest speaker Dr. Muhammed Abdul Khalid, who shared his perspectives on Malaysia’s economic and political landscape and some of the key developments currently shaping the country. Drawing on his experience across government, academia and the private sector, he offered valuable insights into the current environment and what these developments could mean for French companies in Malaysia.

The session also opened the floor for an engaging exchange with guests, creating an opportunity to discuss the issues affecting businesses today and to hear different perspectives from within the French business community.

Following the talk, the evening continued with a networking cocktail, where members across the region had the opportunity to reconnect, welcome newcomers and build new connections within the Malaysian-French business community.
