Peugeot Motocycles Officially Launches in Malaysia with Premium Urban Mobility Line-Up

CCIFM Member Peugeot Motocycles has officially entered the Malaysian market through a strategic partnership with Aveta International, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s Southeast Asian expansion. The launch reflects growing demand for premium, lifestyle-oriented urban mobility solutions and introduces Malaysian riders to over a century of French engineering, design, and innovation.

Positioning itself within the premium scooter segment, Peugeot Motocycles aims to redefine urban riding through its signature “Allure” philosophy, where design, performance, and practicality converge. At launch, the brand unveiled four models tailored to different rider profiles:

  • XP400 GT – a premium crossover scooter designed for both city commuting and light adventure riding
  • Django Café Racer – a retro-inspired sporty model
  • Django Classic – a blend of timeless styling and modern functionality
  • Speedfight 4+ – a dynamic scooter built for urban mobility

A key highlight of the launch is the introduction of the XP400 GT, which marks Peugeot Motocycles’ first entry into the crossover scooter segment in Malaysia. Bookings are now officially open, with deliveries already underway through the brand’s expanding nationwide dealer network.

As part of its long-term commitment to the Malaysian market, selected models including the Django range and Speedfight 4+ will be locally assembled through a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) programme under Aveta’s Eco 5 initiative. The move is supported by a dedicated local assembly facility aimed at strengthening brand infrastructure, accessibility, and aftersales support in Malaysia.

Peugeot Motocycles Malaysia will implement a phased retail rollout strategy throughout 2026, targeting between 10 and 15 exclusive dealerships in key urban locations nationwide. Its first flagship Experience Centre in Bukit Tambun, Penang officially opens on 9 May 2026, with additional presence planned in Johor Bahru and the Klang Valley in early June 2026. Customers will also benefit from dedicated Peugeot service centres integrated with Aveta’s “Aveta Care on Wheels” mobile service network.

Targeting urban professionals, lifestyle enthusiasts, and collectors of premium heritage marques, the new line-up features advanced technologies such as i-Connect® digital dashboards, ABS and SBC braking systems, smart-key technology, and high-rigidity chassis engineering for enhanced riding stability and control.

Looking ahead, Peugeot Motocycles Malaysia is aligning its long-term roadmap with Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), with electric two-wheelers currently under evaluation. The brand is also exploring smart city and last-mile mobility solutions as part of its commitment to sustainable and future-ready urban transportation.
