Speaker: Marie Tseng,Cultural Impact
Monday, 3rd September 2018 | Cutural Impact Office

In collaboration with

Dear members & friends,

How do you lead a multicultural team?  Are you a team leader in today’s global workplace?  Developing intercultural competences is no longer a ‘nice to have’, but a necessity.  Research has shown that culturally savvy organizations perform better than their competitors. Investing in developing intercultural competences is a key component to building successful teams in Malaysia.

In response to increased regional and global market participation, and as one of the subsidized upskilling focus areas by the local Government, this management skill will continue to see more emphasis / importance over the next stage of Malaysia’s development.

Leaders need to be able to engage and influence people from different cultural backgrounds.  This workshop is designed to help attendees address those needs by educating them on cross cultural competencies and providing them with effective, practical tools on adapting faster to multicultural teams.  Attendees will also learn how to build a cohesive, efficient, and effective multicultural team.
At the end of the workshop participants will be able to:

- comprehend the impact of cultures in the work place
- use a proven competence-based framework: Intercultural Readiness, to build intercultural competences
- decipher different cultural expectations and adapt their behaviors accordingly
- optimize their communication in a Malaysian context
- effectively handle challenging situations

Who should attend?
Expats, Malaysian employees who work in multicultural environments, team leaders, managers.
