In 1979, ONIS was founded by Edmond Onis who invented their first quick-action line blind for a petrochemical company in Berre l’Etang, France. The invention was extremely successful as it enabled operators to isolate equipment more safely and within a small fraction of the time compared to conventional blinding equipment. For more than 40 years, ONIS has been innovating on these types of products to deliver customized solutions to more than 450 plants worldwide.
