CCI France Malaysia hosted its annual Back to Work Networking Cocktail, bringing together the Malaysian-French business community.
On 23 September, CCI France Malaysia hosted its annual Back to Work Networking Cocktail, bringing together the Malaysian-French business community at Glasshouse at Seputeh. We were delighted to welcome more than 150 representatives from the public and private sectors, reflecting the strength, diversity and dynamism of our business community.
The evening opened with a welcome address by our President, Mr. Richard Fostier, who highlighted the Chamber’s recent engagements, including the delegation visit to Sabah in conjunction with the Sabah Oil & Gas Exhibition (SOGCE 2026). CCIFM – TotalEnergies French Pavilion, with nine French companies exhibiting at the event. He also highlighted the recent EVOLEN delegation visit to Kuala Lumpur in conjunction with Oil & Gas Asia (OGA 2026), where welcomed 8 companies from France.
Mr. Fostier also announced the much-anticipated Malaysia-France Gala Night in conjunction with the 35th Anniversary of the Chamber on 30 October 2026 with YB Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani, Minister Of Investment, Trade And Industry, as our Guest of Honour. This will be significant occasion, marking YB Datuk Seri Johari first official engagement with the French business community in his capacity as minister.
The evening continued with an address by His Excellency Mr. Marc Abensour, Ambassador of France to Malaysia. In his speech, His Excellency highlighted the growing bilateral trade and strong partnership between France and Malaysia, further underscored by his announcement of the official visit of President of France, Mr. Emmanuel Macron to Malaysia, scheduled to take place at the end of this year.
The networking session continued in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere, providing guests with an ideal setting to meet new members and representatives from both the private and public sectors, reconnect with familiar faces, and explore new opportunities within the community.
