Economic Outlook and Post-Budget 2026

On the 13th of November 2025, in collaboration with the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC) and partner chambers, CCI France Malaysia hosted an exclusive economic briefing titled “Economic Outlook & Post-Budget 2026” at the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB).
The session brought together business leaders, senior executives and industry professionals for an insightful discussion on Malaysia’s fiscal direction, growth prospects, and strategic priorities for the year ahead.

The high-level event provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the 2026 National Budget, featuring perspectives from both the public and private sectors.
The detailed overview of the budget by Florence Tan, Partner of International Tax and Transaction Services at Ernst & Young Tax Consultants Sdn Bhd offered key takeaways to the participants.

A fireside chat delved into key fiscal measures, sustainability initiatives, as well as the government’s commitment to driving Malaysia’s digital economy and investment landscape.
The session concluded with a lively Q&A, followed by networking and light refreshments, giving attendees the opportunity to exchange views and strengthen connections within the business community.
