Francophonie Business Networking Cocktail

The first Francophonie Business Networking Cocktail, hosted by the French-speaking Chambers of Commerce in Malaysia, was successfully held at AFKL!

30 April 2026 - In conjunction with Le Mois de la Francophonie, the French‑speaking Chambers of Commerce in Malaysia - CCI France Malaysia, BeLuxCham Malaysia, Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (SMCC), Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia - were proud to co-host the first Francophonie Business Networking Cocktail!

This event marked a significant milestone as it was the first time Francophonie Day was jointly celebrated by the French-speaking Chambers in Malaysia.

The evening opened with a welcome address from Ms. Pauline Goh, Vice-President of BeLuxCham and Board Member of CCIFM, followed by Ms. Nancy Fortner, President of CanCham, and Mr. Laurent Maillefer, Chairman of SMCC, each highlighting the spirit of collaboration behind this first joint celebration.
We also had Ms. Samantha Gahin representing Alliance Francaise de Kuala Lumpur, who welcomed us and shared their available corporate language courses, reinforcing the importance of promoting la Francophonie within the business community.

The evening gathered the French‑speaking business community in Malaysia, celebrating Francophone culture and offering a space to connect, exchange insights, and explore new opportunities, while highlighting the community’s growing presence in Malaysia.

We would like to thank our event supporter Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur for hosting us at their welcoming space.

This was truly a memorable evening of meaningful connections and shared experiences. We thank all our members, partners and guests for making this evening a success!
