CCIFM organized our first Morning Talk of the year in collaboration with Cegos APAC on how today’s leaders empower & influence Gen Z and Millennials.

CCIFM organized our first Morning Talk of the year, entitled “Leading the new majority: How Today’s Leaders Empower, Influence & Engage Gen Zs and Millennials” on 20 January 2026 at our Plaza Sentral Business Center. The session addressed the realities of Gen Zs and Millennials now forming the majority of the workforce, alongside the leadership challenges this shift presents. HR Managers and Learning & Development professionals attended the session to gain clearer perspectives on engaging, motivating, and retaining younger talent.

Facilitated by our guest speaker Mr. Shawn D’Cotta, Head of Office for Cegos Asia Pacific, the talk provided an in-depth exploration of the leadership mindset changes needed to lead younger generations effectively. Through interactive discussions, participants examined why traditional, authority-led approaches often fail to resonate with Gen Zs and Millennials. The session highlighted the importance of moving beyond trends and assumptions to understand the values, expectations, and drivers of younger employees.

A key highlight of the session was the introduction of three leadership shifts: from control to purpose, from authority to autonomy, and from hierarchy to inclusion. These shifts underscored the need for meaningful work, trust-based leadership, and inclusive collaboration to drive engagement and innovation. Participants concluded the session with practical, immediately applicable actions to strengthen leadership effectiveness and build high-trust, high-performance teams across generations.
