CCI France Malaysia, in collaboration with Forvis Mazars, hosted a Morning Talk on the practical realities of tax audits and investigations, offering participants a clear understanding of the key triggers, processes, and areas of scrutiny typically involved.

Tax audits and investigations is a reality for many organisations and understanding how regulatory authorities conduct them is essential. 

During this session, Mr. Phillip Lim, Tax Director at Forvis Mazars, provided a practical explanation of how these procedures unfolded in practice, highlighting the triggers that could prompt an audit, the processes followed by the authorities, and the areas most frequently examined. This morning talk also detailed how organisations could prepare effectively, respond professionally, manage documentation and evidence, and strengthen internal controls to mitigate risks and safeguard their interests.
