Séminaire de Réflexion 2026
CCIFM successfully held the 26th Séminaire de Réflexion in Kuala Lumpur, addressing Malaysia’s political, economic, and financial perspectives.
On 12-13 March 2026, CCIFM - CCI France Malaysia hosted its 26th edition of the Séminaire de Réflexion in M Resort & Hotel Kuala Lumpur, gathering 80 French and Malaysian decision makers for a successful two days of meaningful exchanges. Organised by the Chamber, in partnership with the Embassy of France in Malaysia and the CCE Malaysia - French foreign trade advisors (les conseillers du Commerce Exterieur de la France), the seminar provided a privileged platform to explore Malaysia’s political, economic, and financial outlook, while also addressing regional and global trends shaping the business environment.
The seminar opened with a keynote address by Mr. Richard FOSTIER, President of CCI France Malaysia, who emphasized the importance of bilateral collaboration and the critical role businesses play in fostering a sustainable and innovative future.
The event followed with an exclusive keynote address by His Excellency Mr. Marc ABENSOUR, Ambassador of France to Malaysia, expounding on the bilateral relations between France and Malaysia and the French presence in the country. We were honoured to engage in a dialogue session with YB Tuan Wong Chen, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on International Relations & Trade, who shared valuable insights on Malaysia’s political and economic outlook for the year ahead, particularly within the context of evolving geopolitical tensions.
The seminar explored exciting and relevant key topics that affect the country’s politics and economy, investment opportunities in various regions, and incorporation of AI in governance.
