Dr Asma Abdullah is a pioneering Malaysian expert in corporate culture and intercultural management, with a career that spans both multinational corporations and academia. After more than 22 years in human resource development at ExxonMobil, she became known as a “corporate anthropologist,” bringing cultural insight into organisational life. Her work has influenced leaders across Asia and beyond through her books and workshops on Malaysian culture, women in management and cross-cultural leadership. As the creator of the “10 Pairs of Cultural Dimensions,” a foundational framework in the Cultural Impact Scan (CIS©), she has helped leaders and teams make sense of intracultural and intercultural challenges in the workplace, especially in regional and global roles spanning multiple continents.
