Dear Members and Friends,

CCIFM along with SMCC (Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce) and La Camara (Malaysia Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry) is organizing a webinar on Economic Outlook 2021.

Impacted from the COVID-19 pandemic, like the global economy, the Malaysian economy contracted by 5.6% - the worst performance since 1998 Asian Financial Crisis. Besides the COVID-19 pandemic, the local economy was also inflicted with the domestic challenges.

While recovery is expected in 2021 supported by global growth in GDP and trade, deployment of vaccine plus stimulus measures, still the rebound risk unevenness, something remains evident on the global front. Besides, domestic challenges remains a concern. The question now is whether the economy can potentially ensure sustainable growth post recovery?

Keynote speaker will be the Ambank Group Chief Economist Dr. Anthony Dass providing an outlook of the economic impact of the current situation in Southeast Asia.
