Join us for a high-level business forum connecting French and Malaysian leaders to explore partnerships and opportunities across strategic sectors.

The France–Malaysia Business Forum will take place on 17 November 2026 at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS in Kuala Lumpur, bringing together French and Malaysian business leaders, government representatives and key economic stakeholders.

The Forum will provide a high-level platform to strengthen business relations between France and Malaysia, explore new investment and partnership opportunities, and discuss the strategic sectors shaping the future of both economies.

Three round tables will focus on digital sovereignty, energy transition and aerospace, bringing together leading French and Malaysian companies and institutional representatives for discussions on shared challenges, opportunities and potential areas for cooperation.

The event is aimed at French companies looking to develop their activities in Malaysia, as well as Malaysian companies interested in establishing partnerships with French businesses or exploring investment opportunities in France.

1:30–2:00 PM: Official Opening

Opening remarks from senior French and Malaysian government representatives and business leaders.

2:00–2:45 PM: Round Table 1: Digital Sovereignty

Malaysia has established itself as a major technology hub in Southeast Asia, with a strong semiconductor industry, a growing data-centre ecosystem and increasing ambitions in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.

This round table will explore digital sovereignty and the development of trusted digital ecosystems, with a focus on AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data centres and quantum technologies.

French and Malaysian technology leaders and institutional representatives will discuss the opportunities for cooperation and investment in this rapidly developing sector.

3:00–3:45 PM: Round Table 2: Energy Transition & Rare Earths

Malaysia is at a turning point in its energy transition, with the ambition to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

The session will explore the opportunities and challenges associated with decarbonisation, including renewable energy, energy infrastructure, regional energy integration, critical minerals and rare earths.

Leading French and Malaysian energy and industrial players will exchange views on the investments, technologies and partnerships needed to support Malaysia's transition towards a lower-carbon economy.

4:00–4:45 PM: Coffee Break & Networking

An opportunity for participants to connect and exchange with French and Malaysian business leaders and representatives from the Forum's partner organisations.

5:00–5:45 PM: Round Table 3: Aerospace

Malaysia plays an increasingly important role in the Asian aerospace ecosystem, benefiting from its strategic location and a diversified industrial base.

The country has developed recognised capabilities in aerospace manufacturing, components and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), while its aviation and airport ecosystem continues to expand.

The round table will explore opportunities for cooperation between French and Malaysian companies across aviation, aerospace, MRO and space-related activities, and discuss the potential for further development of the sector.

6:00–6:30 PM: Official Closing

Closing remarks by senior French and Malaysian representatives, highlighting the shared ambition to further strengthen economic and business cooperation between the two countries.
