In this talk, we will discuss with RHSF the challenges and opportunities of achieving a forced labour-free future in Malaysia by 2030.

In this talk, we will discuss with RHSF the challenges and opportunities of achieving a forced labour-free future in Malaysia by 2030. As a pathfinder country of Alliance 8.7, Malaysia has committed to eradicating forced labour and achieving decent work in its supply chains. However, this can be a daunting task for companies, particularly with the evolving landscape of due diligence legislation. RHSF is a French non-profit organisation partnering with the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and companies to experiment alternative labour practices in the field.

RHSF will provide insights about the risk of forced labour and how due diligence frameworks around the European Union and the world aim to address it, in relation with Malaysian businesses. They will also share their expertise on forced labour risk assessment in supply chains. Attendees will gain valuable examples of labour management practices that align with pathfinder countries’ goal of eradicating forced labour by 2030.

The talk will be relevant to companies, public actors, consumer organizations, trade union representatives, and anyone working towards decent work throughout the supply chains. RHSF's mission is to prevent the risks of indecent work in supply chains, and to disseminate their field results and expertise with all those working for decent work.
