On the 28th June 2018, CCIFM held a Morning Talk presented by Ms. Céline Moille. Céline Moille is a partner at Yellaw, a Law Firm and is in charge of the international department. She has extensive expertise providing general counsel services for companies setting up in South East Asia and Europe and focuses her practice on international contract law and litigation.

She studied in France and Canada. and has a doctorate in private international law and has acquired through her academic and professional background a very deep knowledge of the world of business and international issues.She speaks French and English.

Regulation No 2016/679, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is a regulation of the European Union which constitutes the reference text for the protection of personal data. The purpose of the GDPR is to create a single legal regime throughout the European Union.But the GDPR also provides rules to regulate data flows outside the European Union. It affects businesses both inside and outside the Union.

This Morning Talk discussed the rules for any company that manages data from citizens, residents or European companies, with particular emphasis on data transfers outside the European Union.
