YB Yeo Bee Yin touched on the Pakatan Harapan’s manifesto, that pledged to increase renewable energy from the current 2% to 20% by 2025. Besides that, she also emphasized on efforts to reduce the dependency on coal-fired power plants, which is one of the power generation methods that has a serious impact on CO2 emissions. Hence, there were discussion on main policies, strategies and initiatives taken by the Malaysian government on renewable energy.
