Boccard Malaysia Turns 30 !

Boccard Malaysia celebrated with 30th Anniversary in both Kuantan and Kaula Lumpur. The company was established 30years ago in Feb 9, 1987.  Mr. Bruno Boccard President & Chief Executive Officer  of BOCCARD SA along side Ms. Evelyn Kam, Managing Director of Boaccard Malaysia welcomed the guest

Ms. Kam who has been with the company for 23 years said “I would said we have been through many ups and downs throughout past 30 years. For the 1st 10 years (1987-1997), we were in the developing stage, involved in many big & complex projects which helped the company grow & expand. This was followed by 2nd 10years (1997-2007), were  things were not as smooth, Asian Financial Crisis hit Malaysia hard, and it affected us as well.  We faced many internal & external problems. It was really a difficult time for us, but luckily we managed to turn things around eventually”

She further added that the 3rd stage, the last 10years (2007 – 2017), the Boccard bounced back from their setbacks and come back stronger.   The company has been restructuring and stabilizing, to prepare for bigger challenges and tasks ahead.

BOCCARD started in 1918 and incorporated in 1931 in Lyon. In 1987, BOCCARD Malaysia was established for the Malaysian and South East Asian hydrocarbon and power markets. Today BOCCARD offers the strength of a multinational with the flexibility of local operation. Its piping spool fabrication plant in Kuantan is the largest of its kind in South East Asia, and offers state-of-the-art automated welding equipment. BOCCARD approach of prefabricating system in Malaysia offers a unique solution to reducing Total Installed Cost to any project.
