Economic Outlook 2024

The yearly Economic Outlook event co-organised by CCIFM, Swiss Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (SMCC) and La Camara took place at Hilti Asia IT Services. The event featured Dr. Ray Choy, Chief Economist at MARC Ratings as the keynote speaker. Dr. Choy, a distinguished expert in the field, has contributed to top-tier, peer-reviewed journals and authored 'Essays in Bond Market Economics.' His extensive expertise extends to corporate training and academic roles at various universities. Notably, Dr. Choy was admitted to the Directors' Registry of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia.

During the session, participants gained valuable insights into the anticipated global economic trends for 2024, including the projected slower pace of growth, the impact of tight monetary policies, and the driving forces behind Malaysia's economic growth. The event provided attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the economic landscape, highlighting both uncertainties and potential opportunities.
