Extension of Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) and Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO)

YB Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Senior Minister of Defence, announced on 27th April 2021 that the National Security Council (MKN) has decided the following states would remain under CMCO from 29th April 2021 to 17th May 2021:

(i)     Selangor,

(ii)    Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur,

(iii)    Pulau Pinang, and

(iv)    Johor

YB Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob also announced that:

(a)    Kelantan would be placed under MCO from 29th April 2021 to 17th May 2021;

(b)    Sabah would be placed under CMCO from 29th April 2021 to 17th May 2021;

(c)    Sarawak would remain under CMCO from 27th April 2021 to 17th May 2021; and

(d)    the following states would remain under RMCO from 29th April 2021 to 17th May 2021:

(i)     Kedah

(ii)    Melaka,

(iii)   Negeri Sembilan.

(iv)   Pahang,

(v)    Perak

(vi)   Perlis

(vii)  Terengganu,

(viii)  Putrajaya,

(ix)    Labuan.

The SOPs for states under CMCO and RMCO as announced by YB Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob included the followings:

(a)    Inter-district travels within a state are allowed except in Sabah and Sarawak;

(b)    Interstate travels are still not allowed in all states except through travel bubble, i.e. domestic travels in travel agency vehicles only between RMCO states and cross-border between RMCO and CMCO states. Private vehicles are not allowed to travel interstate.


YB Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob also announced that eateries are allowed to operate beyond midnight until 6.00 am or a time set by the local authorities.
