Johor Introduces a Paid Vaccination Program Through Johor Vaccine - Immunization Program (Jvip) to Accelerate Recovery State Economy


The Johor Vaccine - Immunization Program (JVIP) is an initiative by the Johor State Government to support and complete the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).

The program will be implemented entirely through the State Government’s vaccination platform which is ImmuPlan. ImmuPlan is the only platform in the state of Johor for the implementation of all types of programs and initiatives involving the supply of vaccines from private companies. ImmuPlan system for vaccination program for Johor economic frontline workers has already been upgraded to implement the requirements of the JVIP program. In this context, ImmuPlan will streamline and improve the efficiency of the private vaccination process in terms of selection and purchase of vaccine brands, place and time of vaccination as well as customer service assistance.

The main objective of this program is to speed up the process of achieving herd immunity in the State of Johor by increasing vaccine intake among industrial workers, protecting the people of Johor and accelerating the state's economic recovery

The State Government has agreed to appoint the Johor State Biotechnology and Biodiversity Corporation (J-Biotech) as a leader and facilitator of the vaccination process of the industry in the State of Johor. Thus, this program will be implemented through collaboration between J-Biotech, ImmuPlan, companies - a registered COVID-19 vaccine supplier company and a private health facility provider.

The program offers paid vaccination services and selecting of vaccination centres in various private hospitals and clinics in the State of Johor.

As an initial phase, the program will be implemented in collaboration with the company Pharmaniaga Berhad through Seaview Healthtech Sdn. Bhd. as a distributor of vaccines (Sinovac), KPJ Healthcare Berhad as a provider of vaccination centers and services.

Registration and JVIP vaccination appointment bookings can be made through the website https://www.immuplan.my/ starting August 6, 2021.

The program targets up to 1 million workers from various industries such as manufacturing, retail, tourism etc. as an initial stage before being expanded entirely to the public. The State Government is targeting more legitimate suppliers for COVID-19 vaccines and vaccination service providers to participate in this JVIP program throughout the State of Johor in the future.

To date, there are three types of COVID-19 vaccine products that will be supplied, namely Sinovac, Sinopharm and CanSino with plans to add more vaccine products in the future. Increased vaccination rates are among the important indicators in succeeding in the National Recovery Plan. Together it will enable more openings of the economic and social sectors. This program is expected to help speed up the vaccination process among industrial workers including foreign workers in the State of Johor.
