Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC)

Effective 1st December 2023, all travellers are required to submit their Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) before arriving in Malaysia, except:

  • Those transiting/transferring through Singapore without seeking immigration clearance; and
  • Malaysia Permanent Resident (PR)
  • Malaysia Automated Clearance System (MACS) Holder (which does not include French citizens)

The Malaysian Automated Clearance System (MACS) is limited to visitors originating from 10 countries (Australia, Brunei, Germany, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the United States, and the United Kingdom`), who will be eligible for their subsequent trips, after being registered, to use auto-gates when arriving and leaving KLIA’s Terminal 1 or Terminal 2.

Other visitors must submit their MDAC up to three (3) days before arrival. In the MDAC form, travellers are required to fill up, apart from their personal information (name, passport Nu. date of birth, nationality, gender, passport expiry date, email address and mobile number), their date of arrival, date of departure, mode of transport (air, land, or sea) and last port of embarkation.

According to the requirements for entry into Malaysia, visitors must show both their valid passports and the completed MDAC to the immigration officer on duty upon arrival.
