Morning Talk: Global Trends and Market Insights for 2025
CCIFM organized the Morning Talk: Global Trends and Market Insights 2025, in collaboration with Ipsos KL, bringing together 30 participants for an in-depth discussion on the latest global shifts.
The session featured Pakee Charoenchanaporn, Ipsos's Chief Client Officer, and Kiranjit Singh, APAC Regional Head who shared his insights on how Ipsos’s relentless curiosity about society, markets, and people drives the company to uncover the evolving attitudes and values shaping our world.
This year, Ipsos conducted an extensive Global Trends survey, interviewing 50,000 individuals across 50 markets, covering 74% of the global population and representing 90% of the world’s GDP. These results provide a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of societal changes and offer a unique perspective on global developments.
During the talk, Kiranjit explored various critical issues shaping the global landscape, including the geopolitical rivalry between the United States and China, economic cycles, and the structural shifts occurring in the global economy. He also discussed the new challenges emerging from evolving alliances, the socio-political landscape in Malaysia, and current global trends such as the fractured state of globalisation, a splintered society, the rise of technological advancements, and the potential retreat to older systems. The event provided valuable insights into the forces driving change and the broader implications for markets and societies around the world as we look ahead to 2025.
