Understanding Corporates Transitions To Net-Zero

BNP Paribas has partnered with the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) to conduct a study on where we stand on net-zero transition across six corporate sectors: coal, oil & gas, power generation, steel, cement, and aviation.

In order to develop an understanding of transition in these industries, the survey will cover their current state of decarbonisation, challenges associated with formulating and adopting net-zero transition plans, related financing needs, and potential enablers to overcome these challenges.

The survey will be conducted by CISL online (via desktop/tablet/mobile), all the responses will be anonymized and kept strictly confidential by CISL and it should take less than 20 minutes to complete.

Who from organisations should complete the survey?

Respondents are ideally managers who directly oversee sustainability and climate-related operations in your organisation. CISL welcomes respondents efforts to mobilize cross-departmental resources to assist in providing answers to any of the questions in this survey.

What will be done with the survey results?

The major findings will be launched to the media and through a keynote presentation during the BNP Paribas Sustainable Future Forum in October 2021, just prior to COP26.

Will the organisations taking part in this survey be kept confidential?

All the information collected from organization respondents will be kept strictly confidential and CISL researchers will anonymize all data in the final report.

When is the deadline for completing the survey?

To ensure all responses will be included, we request that the survey is completed by Thursday 16th September.
