Valeo Malaysia CDA's opens its manufacturing plant in Penang

Valeo Malaysia CDA's official opened its manufacturing plant in Penang. It was officiated by Deputy Chief Minister of Penang, The Hon. Dato Rashid Hasnon, representing the Chief Minister of Penang.

The ceremony started with a welcome speech of Wallerand Devigneral, Valeo Penang Site General Manager and was followed by a speech by Marc Vrecko, President of CDA Business Group.

This was followed by H.E Frédéric Laplanche, The French Ambassador, who was expressive in voicing his pride towards Valeo, as a French company making a foothold in Malaysia. He also delighted the audience on the French historical ties with Penang.

The keynote address of the Chief Minister's address which was conveyed by Deputy Chief Minister, The Hon. Dato Rashid Hasnon. Dato Rashid expressed his gratitude to Valeo for the opportunities that this investment brings to the people of Penang. He highlighted how this is also a "testimony to the trust and confidence that foreign investors such as Valeo has in Penang".

The ceremony culminated with the presentation of the commemorative plaque, which is inventively positioned on a pedestal by the COBOT robotic arm. The two Guest of Honor and CDA's President then signed on the plaque on stage to mark the occasion, with the COBOT arm waving the small Valeo flag, much to the amusement and appreciation of the audience!
