Interstate And Overseas Travel Allowed

Please be informed that YAB Dato’ Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, the Prime Minister, had on 10th October 2021 announced that as the adult vaccination rate in Malaysia had achieved 90%, the Special Committee on Covid-19 Pandemic Management had decided to allow interstate travel effective Monday 11th October 2021. With the lifting of the interstate travel ban, all local tourism activities will also be allowed.
 
 2. YAB the Prime Minister had also announced that the MyTravel Pass programme had been abolished and Malaysians are allowed to travel overseas effective Monday 11th October 2021. However, Malaysia is still not open to foreign travellers except for emergency and business matters.
 
 3. The permission for the interstate and overseas travel are applicable to fully vaccinated individuals only. As for the overseas travel, an individual shall undergo mandatory quarantine upon his return to Malaysia.
 
 4. YAB the Prime Minister had also reminded owners of business premises to check the vaccination and risk status of people entering their premises.
 
 5. Members are also informed that the Senior Defence Minister YB Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein had announced that the Covid-19 Pandemic Management Special Committee had decided to move Johor to Phase 3 from Phase 2 and to move Pahang to Phase 4 from Phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) effective 8th October 2021.
