Malaysia - France Energy Networking Reception , 1 September 2026, Residence of France

CCI France Malaysia welcomed French and Malaysian energy stakeholders for an evening of networking, collaboration and new business opportunities.

On 1 September 2026, CCI France Malaysia had the honour of organising the Malaysia–France Energy Networking Reception at the Residence of France in Kuala Lumpur, held in conjunction with the EVOLEN Energy Mission to Malaysia 2026 and ahead of OGA 2026. Our sincere appreciation to YB Tuan Tze Tzin Sim, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), for joining us and underscoring the importance of strengthening Malaysia–France cooperation in the energy sector.

We were equally grateful to H.E. Mr. Marc ABENSOUR, Ambassador of France to Malaysia, for graciously opening the Residence of France for the reception and for his continued support in strengthening economic and industrial ties between our two countries. Guests were also warmly welcomed by Mr. Richard FOSTIER, President of CCI France Malaysia.

The reception marked the kick-off of a week dedicated to exploring opportunities across Malaysia’s dynamic energy ecosystem. During the mission, the EVOLEN delegation engaged with key industry and institutional stakeholders and participated in OGA 2026. The mission provided the delegation with an opportunity to gain first-hand insights into the Malaysian market, exchange perspectives with local industry players and explore potential avenues for collaboration across the energy value chain. 

The delegation brought together BARRIQUAND Heat Exchangers, CELESTAL, REP, PRINCIPIA, SNECI, Holis Group, Pen & Process, SeaOwl Group and SPIE, representing a diverse range of French expertise across the energy value chain. These companies explored opportunities to develop new partnerships, expand their activities and strengthen their presence in Malaysia and the wider ASEAN region.

We looked forward to turning the conversations initiated during the mission into new partnerships and opportunities in Malaysia and across the region.
