Mandatory Covid-19 Screening for Foreign Workers Only

With regards to the Notification received from PERKESO / SOCSO related to the Mandatory Covid-19 screening for all foreign workers, this applied to ONLY foreign workers (in all sectors: Manufacturing, Construction, Plantation, Agriculture and Services) under the Pas Lawatan Kerja Sementara ( PLKS) who are to undergo the Covid-19 screening test. This refers, therefore, refers to ''blue collars''.The respective employers are to bear the cost of the procedures.

This follows the increasing number of positive cases among them, particularly at factories and construction sites. As per written clarification received from SOCSO, this decision does not apply today to ''expatriates'' registered under ESD/MDeC/MM2H/RP-T or PR holders.
