Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara appoints Christian Carminati as Director of Food & Beverage

Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara is delighted to announce the appointment of Christian Carminati as Director of Food & Beverage.  With over 20 years of experience in the food and beverage scene from world-renowned hotels in Italy, Ireland, Dubai, Indonesia, Singapore, and most recently held the position of Director of Food and Beverage at Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, Bangkok, Thailand, Christian is known to transform innovative visions into measurable results.

“With a proven track record and an aptitude in creating and driving innovations and performance, Christian proves to be the right candidate to spearhead Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara’s food and beverage team to elevate the business to a higher level of achievement. We are thrilled to welcome Christian’s energy, creativity, and vision in each of our in-house venues”, comments General Manager, George Koumendakos.

Originally from Italy, Christian’s humble beginnings as a Chef de Rang began in 2002 and swiftly rose through the ranks to become Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Manager and Director of Food and Beverage since 2017.

Reporting to the General Manager, Christian is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage and banquet operations at Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara’s dining venues including Wan Chun Ting, Nizza, Kwee Zeen, Le Bar, Club Millisime, and the hotel’s seven meetings and events spaces.

“I am excited about the opportunity to meet and listen to our customers and inspire and motivate our team as well as implementing new dining concepts and elevate the overall dining experience at Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara”, comments Christian.

In his free time, Christian enjoys spending time with his daughter, playing golf, watching soccer and experiencing new food and beverage trends.
