Visit Northern Region.
CCIFM organized a visit to the northern region to meet the authorities and members based in there.
This includes a visit to the office Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER) for a review of existing support incentives for the development of the Northern region (Perak, Penang, Perlis and Kedah) and Invest Penang for an update in the investment opportunity available in the state. CCIFM also visited VALEO Penang, the largest of their three plants in Malaysia. The workforce of VALEO consist over 700 employees out of which 95% are Malaysian. VALEO is currently restructuring its manufacturing facilities to address a promising further development of industrial activities.
The visit ended with the gathering of 15 representatives from the Malaysian French Business Community in Penang in the presence of CCI France Malaysia President Gilles Waeldin and representatives of Alliance Francaise, Onduline, Ketronixs, Andaman Medical, International SOS, Serval, NCIA, Gerflor and Swiss Profile.
