BREAKING NEWS: CCIFM Input on Covid-19 Guideline on Human Resources Management from Malaysian Employer Federation

Kuala Lumpur, 18 March 2020 - With the recent implementation of special measures to fight the spread of COVID19, please find attached the 2 guideline memos released by the Malaysian Employer Federation (MEF).
 
While it is in no way the official and legal stand from the authorities on the management of Human Resources in this time of crisis, it provides useful views on what could be done to minimize the impact for employees and employers alike.

The memos promote a pragmatic approach based on consensus and as such it provides useful guidelines towards a negotiated solution adapted to each set of particular circumstances. In difficult times everyone has to give up some of his/its advantages for the common good and will get rewarded in the end for that. Preserving the business is the utmost priority, better times will come for those from either side who avoided taking a confrontational route. That is the message from MEF which we wished to relay to all of you.
