French Business Delegation to Sarawak

On visit of H.E Frederic LAPLANCHE, Ambassador of France to Malaysia to Sarawak, CCI France Malaysia and the Economic Department of the French Embassy jointly organizing a dialogues session with the various local economic agencies of the state, particularly linked to energy sector.

Our members arrived a day before for a cultural presentation by Jason Brooke, a descendent of the Brooke family, famously known as the White Rajahs of Sarawak. He shared with us his stories about Sarawak and his family’s role in the history of the state at the Brooke Gallery. Brooke Gallery is new addition to the landscape of Kuching and is located within the historic Fort Margherita. This was followed by a networking session with French community in Sarawak hosted by the French Ambassador.

The dialogue session was the highlight of the second day and was moderated by H.E Frederic Laplanche. We welcomed, about 13 French companies for a dynamic session with RECODA, Sarawak State Planning Unit , Sarawak Energy Berhad and both the Sarawak Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Dayak Chamber of Commerce & Industry
