"Benefits for the Malaysian Exporting Companies"

CCIFM in collaboration with AFC (Assistance Formation Conseil) organized a talk on tax representation and management assistance for foreign and internationally oriented companies. As one of the largest economic area, Europe appears to be a strategic place in which Malaysian companies may want to implement their business. In attempt to do so, they must however understand laws that rule this specific market in order to optimize their revenue; and even more important: to not encounter any administrative or legal issues.

Mr Philippe Talon, Director of AFC Office in Paris, shared insights of the VAT functioning in Europe – more specifically in France – and its benefits. He explained how VAT management can foster exportations and importations within Europe and contribute to cut costs for Malaysian companies.

For instance, VAT is followed by an absence of physical capital and, as a consequence, does not imply infrastructure management costs. Thanks to a VAT number, Malaysian companies are also not charged by a high corporate tax. Mr Talon gave additional information about trading facilities in Europe such as suppliers, storage and delivery management.

Mr Talon team’s expertise extend to a wide range of fields including automotive supplier, industrial electronics, mail order, agriculture, agri-food, insurance, chemistry, energy services and utilities.

Together, they provide to international companies eager to develop their business within the Europe area fiscal representatives and services in charge of ensuring a good coordination between French legislation and business activities. AFC particularly aims to support the existence of a long-term growth and highlights the extended opportunities for those businesses in trading in France.
