Morning Talk: Gen AI & HR
On 26 Nov, CCIFM hosted a Morning Talk focused on "Gen AI & HR," where we explored the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in human resources. AI is already being utilized for tasks such as drafting job descriptions and internal content, but its capabilities extend far beyond that. The session highlighted how AI can optimize key HR processes, including automating job ad creation, streamlining application screening, and generating interview questions. Chatbots can also enhance onboarding by automating document handling and responding to frequently asked questions.
However, the adoption of AI in HR is not without challenges. Participants discussed concerns around data quality, bias, ethical and legal issues, and security risks. For successful AI integration, HR teams need a clear strategy, continuous learning, and strong collaboration with technical teams. Anticipating the impact of AI on jobs and supporting employees to bridge any potential digital divide were also emphasized as key considerations.
The session concluded with the recognition that AI offers a significant opportunity to improve both the efficiency and quality of HR processes—if approached thoughtfully and strategically. A big thank you to our speaker Elisabeth Laubel for her expert insights, and to all attendees for contributing to an engaging discussion.
